This 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R is powered by a 5.2-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission and finished in Shadow Black over a black and red cloth interior. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, vented hood, front splitter, carbon-fiber wing, the R Electronics Package, voice-activated touchscreen with navigation, MagneRide adjustable suspension, Recaro seats, Brembo brake calipers, and 19″ carbon-fiber wheels.
The restyled nose of the GT350 is approximately 1.4″ wider than that of the standard Mustang and features a lower hood line and headlights. This example is finished in Shadow Black, and aerodynamic aids include a Shelby-branded front splitter, a vented hood, a carbon-fiber rear wing, front fender vents, and aerodynamic side skirts.
Factory 19″ carbon-fiber wheels are finished in black and save 13 pounds per corner compared to the standard GT350 items. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires are fitted, and the car is equipped with a MagneRide damping system, independent rear suspension, and line-lock launch control. Braking is handled by red-painted Brembo calipers and two-piece vented rotors.
The Recaro sport seats are upholstered in Ebony cloth and Miko suede with red accents on the bolsters as well as matching “R” embroidery on the headrests. R models omitted the rear seats in favor of lightweight carpets, and amenities include carbon-fiber dashboard trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, a voice-activated touchscreen with navigation, and Ford Track Apps.
The passenger-side dashboard plaque designates this GT350R as chassis HR322.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel features a red centering stripe and frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,250-rpm redline, a digital multifunction display, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Additional gauges for oil pressure and oil temperature are mounted in the center stack. The digital odometer has 3k miles.
The naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter Voodoo V8 features a flat-plane crankshaft along with variable valve timing, an oil cooler, and dual overhead camshafts. A commemorative plaque displays the signature of the engine builder, and factory-rated output was 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. An oil change and multi-point inspection were performed in December 2019 and the battery was replaced in September 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential with a 3.73:1 axle ratio. A transmission oil cooler and a quad-tip active dual exhaust system were standard equipment.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Mullinax Ford in Apopka, Florida, as well as factory colors, equipment, and a total MSRP of $67,545. A Shelby GT350 ownership box and service records are also included in the sale.
