The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a Mazdaspeed-branded tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates 20k miles.
The turbocharged and intercooled 1.8-liter DOHC inline-four was factory rated at 178 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque. A silver-finished shock-tower brace spans the engine bay, and the seller reports that the battery is a replacement.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
