The cabin features bolstered seats trimmed in black synthetic suede with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. RX-7-embroidered floor mats line the footwells, and amenities include air conditioning and power accessories. The air conditioning system has been converted to function with R134a refrigerant. The seller notes that the factory cassette radio does not produce sound, and that the power antenna has been replaced. The satin finish on the dash and center console shows signs of wear. A replacement factory center console surround is included in the sale.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, a 180-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 31k miles.
The twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter Wankel rotary was factory rated at 255 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque and features twin oil coolers as part of the R1 package. Modifications are said to include an 3″ Bonez down-pipe, a high-flow catalytic converter, and a K&N air filter. Service in December 2020 reportedly consisted of an oil change along with replacement of the coolant, the fuel filter, the accessory drive belts, and the spark plugs.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a factory Torsen limited-slip differential. The transmission and differential fluids were reportedly changed in December 2020.
