This 1990 Ferrari Mondial T is one of approximately 379 cabriolets produced for the North American market and was reportedly purchased new by Chicago Bulls center Bill Cartwright before being acquired by the seller in April 2019. The car is finished in black over black Connolly leather and is powered by a quad-cam 3.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in black and features a black soft top and boot cover, pop-up projection headlights, fog lights, a front spoiler, Pininfarina badges, redesigned Mondial T side-intake scoops, and quad exhaust outlets.
Factory staggered-width 16″ alloy wheels are wrapped with 225/50 front and 245/50 rear General G-Max RS tires. Standard equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and adjustable suspension with two stiffness settings.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black Connolly leather with matching leather covering the upper dash, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a gated shifter, electric windows and door locks, air conditioning, automatic seat belts, Ferrari-branded floor mats, a Vector radar detector, and a Nakamichi AM/FM CD stereo. The air conditioning was reportedly recharged in 2021.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for coolant and oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 15k miles.
The 3.4-liter F119 V8 features dual overhead camshafts and Bosch Motronic digital engine management. Factory-rated output was 300 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The seller states that the engine oil and transmission fluid were changed in summer 2021 when the transmission was removed to replace the rear main crankshaft seal. The seller also states that an engine-out service was performed in September 2019 which included installing a Hill Engineering water pump, upgrading the timing roller bearing, and adding F355 timing chain tensioners, after which the valve covers and airbox were powder coated. The starter and alternator were rebuilt during the engine service, and the radiator was cleaned and painted.
