This 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 was modified under prior ownership with a GM 5.7-liter V8 that is paired with a replacement five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is finished in red with a roof that was re-painted to white under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a steel front bumper with a COMEUP winch, a BajaRack roof rack, Anzo USA LED headlights with rock guards, headlight washers, steel side steps, tinted windows, a Thule bike rack, a receiver hitch, and a steel rear bumper with a swing-out carrier housing a spare wheel and tire, two jerry cans, and a Handyman jack.
Black-finished 17″ KMC XD-Series Enduro wheels are mounted with 245/70 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires. Aisin manually-locking hubs are installed up front, and the suspension has been fitted with a 2.5″ Old Man Emu lift kit. The seller recommends that the brakes be upgraded.
The cabin features seats that have been re-stuffed and re-upholstered with two-tone black and gray vinyl, factory striped gray door panel inserts, and a replacement dashboard cap. Equipment includes hand-crank windows, air conditioning, an in-dash inclinometer unit with a digital clock, a SnapSafe locking storage unit below the driver seat, additional cargo-area storage cans, rubber floor mats, and a Bluetooth-capable Custom AutoSound stereo. The speakers work intermittently and the replacement headliner and carpets are stained.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 4,600-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, engine temperature, voltage, and fuel level. Additional gauges have been mounted to the A-pillar, and a Holley Sniper EFI LCD touch-screen controller has been added ahead of the shifter levers. The six-digit odometer shows 146k miles.
The GM 5.7-liter V8 crate engine was installed in 2014 and later fitted with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system. Engine seals and gaskets were replaced in 2019, the alternator wiring was repaired in 2020, and the power steering pump was replaced in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a replacement H55F five-speed manual transmission that was installed along with a replacement clutch in 2017. The dual-range transfer case was rebuilt at the same time.
