This 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 is finished in Beige Metallic over a tan and brown interior, and it is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Equipment includes chrome bumpers, 15″ wheels with 31″ BFGoodrich tires, manually locking front hubs, and Old Man Emu shocks. Work performed by Smog Station of Dublin, California, has included rebuilding the carburetor and smog air pump as well as replacing the fuel filter, oil pan, and catalytic converter.
The body was removed from the frame and refinished in factory Beige Metallic (4E8) under prior ownership. The frame is said to have been media-blasted and refinished with an epoxy-based chassis paint at that time. Brightwork and weatherstripping were refurbished or replaced during the overhaul.
Factory 15″ chrome-finished wheels wear 31×10.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. The suspension is fitted with Old Man Emu shocks and steering stabilizer, and the braking and steering systems are said to have been overhauled and rebuilt during the 2020 refurbishment under prior ownership.
The cabin is trimmed in brown and tan with striped cloth inserts on the front and rear seats as well as the door panels. The brown carpeting was replaced under prior ownership and is protected by Coco Mats in coordinating colors. Features include air conditioning, front and rear heaters, and crank windows.
Factory instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, a 4k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge, which are said to have been refurbished under previous ownership. The six-digit odometer shows 118k miles.
The carbureted 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. The timing and valve covers were resealed and the radiator was replaced as part of the 2020 overhaul. Service under current ownership performed by Smog Station of Dublin, California, has included rebuilding the carburetor and smog air pump, installing an aftermarket catalytic converter, resurfacing the intake and exhaust manifold, and replacing the oil pan.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, which were reportedly cleaned and serviced under prior ownership.
