Work on this 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3100 stepside pickup involved overhauling the engine, refreshing the brakes, reupholstering the bench seat, and replacing the wood bed trim, bumpers, battery, and ignition wires. The truck is finished in blue over a green interior and is powered by a 235.5ci inline-six mated to a three-speed manual transmission.
The truck is finished in blue, and faded paint is visible throughout the body. A replacement wood bed kit was installed in 2024 along with front and rear bumpers. Features include a wraparound rear window, a spotlight, dual side view mirrors, quad headlights, a fender-mounted spare tire, and quarter vent windows.
The 15″ steel wheels wear bright trim rings and hubcaps, and they are wrapped in 235/60 BFGoodrich tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes, which were refreshed in July 2024, including resurfacing the drums and replacing the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, return springs, and rubber rear lines.
The bench seat was re-covered in green vinyl under current ownership, and the choke, throttle, and interior bulbs were also replaced. Additional appointments include a defroster, chrome hardware and knobs, a glovebox, and hand-crank side windows.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles.
The 235.5ci inline-six was overhauled, which involved rebuilding the cylinder head, replacing the intake manifold gaskets, and installing a replacement single carburetor with an oil bath air cleaner, according to the seller. Various replacement valves, lifters, seals and gaskets are also said to have been installed. A tune-up with fluid changes was performed and the ignition wires, battery, and battery cables were replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.
