This 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 was modified with a 2″ lift kit, an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer, 16″ Braid wheels, Sylvania headlights, a roof rack, and a Blaupunkt stereo linked to aftermarket speakers. The truck is finished in brown over tan and brown upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter 2F inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
The truck left the factory finished in Copper Metallic (474) and was repainted under previous ownership. Details include Sylvania round headlights, chrome bumpers with black end caps, 4Runner-specification wiper arms, a receiver hitch, a Thule roof rack, mud flaps, and a split tailgate. The Carfax report notes the vehicle was inspected after an accident or other incident in February 2003 and lists damage to the right rear. The right fender is said to have been repaired and repainted.
Gray-finished 16″ Braid wheels are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, and a removed set of wheels will accompany the truck. The suspension has been fitted with a 2″ Specter Off-Road lift kit as well as an Old Man Emu steering stabilizer and shackles. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the truck is equipped with locking front hubs.
The front bucket seats and a folding rear bench are upholstered in patterned tan cloth with brown vinyl sides. Equipment includes air conditioning, a center console, a rear window defroster, and a Blaupunkt stereo linked to aftermarket speakers. The selling dealer reports the air conditioning system has been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant, and the driver’s seat was reupholstered in June 2011.
The steering wheel wears an aftermarket leather wrap and frames an 85-mph speedometer, a 4,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 165k miles.
The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six is equipped with a single carburetor and was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque. An aftermarket radiator has been fitted. A rebuilt smog pump was installed in September 2020, and a February 2024 date sticker can be seen on the battery. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. A Man-A-Fre transmission/transfer case oil bypass kit is said to have been added. The muffler was replaced in 2020. The front axle seals and an axle are noted to have been replaced in 2021, and a coating was applied to the underside at that time.
