This 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S was sold new by Irv Leopold Toyota in Milwaukie, Oregon, and was acquired by the seller from the original owner in 2013 and subsequently refurbished. This 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S was sold new by Irv Leopold Toyota in Milwaukie, Oregon, and was acquired by the seller from the original owner in 2013 and subsequently refurbished. The car was repainted in its factory shade of Medium Blue Metallic, the 1.6-liter inline-four engine was rebuilt, the five-speed manual transmission was overhauled, and the suspension and braking components were replaced. The car was delivered from the factory in Medium Blue Metallic (8D4), and it was partially disassembled and repainted during current ownership. Steel 14″ wheels with vintage-style Toyota-logo center caps are mounted with 185/65 Caldera Confidence C3 tires. The car was optioned with variable-rate power steering, and the suspension and braking components were replaced during the refurbishment.
The cabin features seats trimmed in two-tone blue upholstery with integrated headrests. Amenities include air conditioning, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and adjustable driver’s lumbar support.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 195k miles.
The 1.6-liter 4A-GEC inline-four is equipped with electronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 112 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt between 2018 and 2019 and replated hardware was installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The transmission synchros as well as the ring and pinion bearings were replaced during the refurbishment.
A window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records from previous ownership, and invoices from work performed during the refurbishment are included in the sale.
