This 1985 Audi Quattro is finished in Zermatt Silver Metallic over Platinum leather and powered by a replacement turbocharged 2.2-liter MC inline-five paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. The car is finished in Zermatt Silver Metallic (LY7Y), and the seller notes that portions of the body have been refinished. A European-specification front bumper with integrated fog lights was added along with H1/H4 headlights, and a replica rear spoiler sourced from 2Bennett Audimotion was painted to match the body and installed in 2020. Additional equipment includes boxed fender flares and Audi-logo decals along the lower portions of the doors, and paint correction was performed and ceramic coating was applied in 2020.
Ronal 15×8″ wheels were recently refinished, and 215/50 Pirelli P700-Z tires were fitted in 2019. The car is equipped with an Apikol front brake kit featuring Porsche Boxster-specification calipers, and further additions include 2Bennett Audimotive coilover suspension components, Koni shocks, and replacement control arm and subframe bushings.
The interior features manually adjustable front seats that were reupholstered in Platinum leather, along with color-coordinated door panel inserts and a black dashboard. Additional equipment includes Audi-logo floor mats, an Audi Sport-badged Nardi steering wheel, and cruise control. The air-conditioning has been updated with a Sanden compressor, and the receiver drier was replaced and the system refrigerant was recharged in 2021.
Factory VDO instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, as well as gauges for boost pressure and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 99k miles.
The 2.2-liter MC inline-five is said to have been installed in 1993 during prior ownership, and power is to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The center and rear differentials can be locked by the driver via a dashboard-mounted panel. Work performed within the past year included a rebuild of the rear differential and replacement of the engine and transmission mounts and shifter linkage. Noted modifications include:
