This 1971 Land Cruiser FJ40 was brought to the US from Costa Rica in June 2021. A refurbishment carried out in Costa Rica in 2018 is said to have included a repaint in white, reupholstering the cabin in black vinyl, and overhauling the 3.9-liter inline-six. Equipment includes a three-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, 15″ steel wheels with polished hubcaps, manually locking front hubs, a brown soft top, and rear jump seats.
The truck has been refinished in white and features a replacement brown soft top with side curtains. Other exterior equipment includes side mirrors, silver-painted bumpers, and a rear-mounted spare tire. A Paradise Rover badge has been added to the rear-left corner.
The 15″ steel wheels feature polished hubcaps and are wrapped in Goodyear Hi-Miler CT162 tires. The truck is equipped with manually locking front hubs.
The interior features front bucket seats and inward-facing rear jump seats that have been reupholstered in black vinyl. The floors are protected by black covers, and equipment includes a glovebox and manual wind-up windows. Cabin switchgear has been labeled.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 98k kilometers (~61k miles).
The 3.9-liter F inline-six features a single carburetor and was reportedly overhauled under previous ownership.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
