This 1970 Ford F-250 was purchased new by the seller’s father-in-law and acquired by the seller in 1988. The truck is finished in two-tone Yucatan Gold and Wimbledon White and powered by a 360ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. The truck was repainted in its factory Wimbledon White (M) and Yucatan Gold (R), and the Sport Custom trim package added an aluminum tailgate appliqué along with chrome trim to the windshield, wheel arches, rocker panels, and taillight bezels. Features include extended side mirrors, a sliding rear window, a chrome front bumper, a diamond-plate rear bumper, and a receiver hitch.
Steel wheels are painted white and wear silver hubcaps. The truck is equipped with front disc brakes as well as Ford’s Twin-I-Beam independent front suspension and Flex-O-Matic rear leaf springs.
The cab features a bench seat upholstered in Parchment basketweave vinyl along with matching door panels and black rubber floor mats. The black dash pad is cracked and is fitted with a carpeted cover. Amenities include a heater and defroster, door storage bins, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette radio installed in the original radio opening.
The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer, a Suntune 8k-rpm tachometer attached to the steering column, and gauges for fuel level, charge status, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles.
The 360ci V8 was factory rated at 215 horsepower and 327 lb-ft of torque and drives the rear wheels through a C6 three-speed Cruise-O-Matic transmission and a Dana 60 rear axle. An auxiliary fuel tank under the bed complements the primary tank behind the seat. The oil and transmission fluid were recently changed.
