This 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 is a US-market example finished in Sky Blue over brown vinyl and is powered by a 3.9-liter F inline-six mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Equipment includes front and rear steel bumpers, a removable hardtop with a white roof, 15″ wheels, an Old Man Emu suspension system, a heater, and rear jump seats. Work in preparation for the sale consisted of fitting a larger custom fuel tank, repairing the carburetor, and replacing the fuel pump, fuel level float mechanism, water pump.
The truck was repainted in Sky Blue with a white roof under previous ownership. Equipment includes front and rear steel bumpers, dual side-view mirrors, and a fold-up and barn door-style rear door.
Gray 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are fitted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires sized 31×10.5″. Old Man Emu and Pro-Comp suspension components have been added. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The split-bench front seat and dash pad were reupholstered in brown vinyl along with the folding jump seats in the rear cargo area. The cab was also refinished in textured white, and equipment includes a front and floor-mounted rear heater, sun visors, a glove box, and rubber floor mats.
A painted three-spoke steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer as well as fuel, temperature, oil pressure, and amperage gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 59k miles.
The 3.9-liter inline-six is paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. An automatic choke has been added, and the water pump was replaced and the carburetor repaired in preparation for the sale.
Work in preparation for the sale consisted of fitting a new larger fuel tank along with a new fuel pump and fuel level float mechanism.
