This 1969 Datsun 2000 was acquired by the seller from a friend in 2018 and it has since been refurbished in white over a black and gray cloth interior and is powered by a rebuilt turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter SR20DET twin-cam inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential. This 1969 Datsun 2000 was acquired by the seller from a friend in 2018 and it has since been refurbished in white over a black and gray cloth interior and is powered by a rebuilt turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter SR20DET twin-cam inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a Ford 8.8″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential. Additional modifications include disc brakes, a Magnaflow exhaust system, a three-row aluminum radiator, a custom dash housing Classic Instruments gauges, billet controls, a stiffening brace with three-point seat belts, and 16″ alloy wheels.
The body was removed from the frame and media-blasted to bare metal. Sheet metal in the trunk and rear panel were replaced, the wheel openings were modified, and the car was painted in white. A front lip spoiler has been added, and chrome accessories including the bumpers, overriders, and trim were refinished. A custom grille surrounds a mesh insert with a Datsun badge.
Black 16″ wheels wear tires measuring 205/45 up front and 225/45 at the rear. Braking is handled by Nissan front calipers, Ford rear calipers, Coleman Racing drilled and slotted rotors, and EBC pads. The front suspension is said to have been refurbished, and the rear leaf springs have been powder coated.
The cockpit features bucket seats that have been reupholstered in black Alcantara with cloth inserts and vinyl sides over replacement foam pads joined by color-matched door panels and carpets. Sound deadening has been installed as well as drilled pedals, a billet aluminum shift knob and emergency brake handle, a four-point low roll bar fitted with three-point shoulder belts, a Wilwood brake bias adjusting knob mounted on the dash, and a B&M short-shifter.
The leather-wrapped Sparco three-spoke steering wheel fronts a custom aluminum dash. White Classic Instruments dials consist of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a boost gauge, a 160-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The mechanical odometer displays just over 400 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.0-liter Nissan SR20DET S13 inline-four features a Borg Warner turbocharger as well as a Mishimoto intercooler and is said to have been rebuilt and modified with CP pistons, Eagle rods, and ARP bolts, a balanced crank, Tomei fuel injectors, a Holley fuel pressure regulator, a Haltech engine control unit, and AEM sensors. Cooling is handled by a Mishimoto three-core radiator and an electric fan, and the water pump as well as hoses are said to have been replaced. A custom aluminum intake is fitted, and the exhaust includes stainless steel tubing, a Magnaflow muffler, and Akropovich carbon fiber tips.
The five-speed manual transmission delivers power to the wheels through a Ford 8.8″ rear axle and a limited-slip differential. The transmission is said to have been re-sealed, and the flywheel, clutch, throw-out bearing, and slave cylinder replaced. The frame was modified to accommodate the replacement engine and exhaust and was powder coated prior to reassembly.
