This 2001 Dodge Viper RT/10 is finished in Race Yellow over black leather and powered by an 8.0-liter V10 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The car was first registered in Illinois and later spent time in Georgia and Tennessee. It was acquired by the seller in 2018 and was subsequently relocated from Illinois to California before returning to Illinois. Maintenance under current ownership has included servicing of the air conditioning system and replacement of the hardtop headliner, tires, battery, steering rack, clutch components, and side exhaust heat shields.
The car is finished in Race Yellow (PYR) and features a removable double-bubble roof panel as well as a black soft top. Details includes a NACA hood vent, front fog lamps, dual exhaust outlets, and yellow badging. The left-side rocker panel was repaired and repainted in 2020, at which time replacement exhaust heat shields were installed.
The 18″ five-spoke wheels wear 265/35 front and 335/30 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires that were reportedly installed under current ownership. The car features four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and the steering rack was rebuilt in November 2018. Curb rash is noted on three wheels.
The cabin features bolstered seats upholstered in black leather as well as a matching dashboard, door panels, and rubber floor mats. Faux-carbon fiber trim has been applied to the center stack surround and instrument bezel, and an aftermarket shift knob has been installed. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, power locks, and an Alpine CD stereo paired with a JL Audio subwoofer. Wrinkles are noted on the seats, and a crease can be seen on the transmission-tunnel cover. The hardtop headliner and left-side window regulator were replaced under current ownership.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while auxiliary gauges are housed above the center stack. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 22k miles.
The 8.0-liter V10 was rated at 450 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque when new. Work since 2018 is said to have included servicing of the air conditioning system, replacement of the battery, and a recent oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. A lightened flywheel and replacement clutch master cylinder were installed under current ownership.
The car is supplied with an owner’s manual, two remote key fobs, and recent service records.
