This 2002 BMW M3 convertible was delivered new to BMW of Murray, Utah, and remained in the state through its acquisition by the seller in 2021. The car is finished in white over gray leather and powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a six-speed SMG sequential transmission and a limited-slip differential. Dinan engine software and a hard-wired radar detector were added under previous ownership. Service performed in preparation for sale included replacement of a power-steering hose, the air conditioning belt, and the rear brake pads as well as an oil change.
The car is finished in Alpine White and features a power-operated black soft top, a removable wind deflector, bi-xenon headlights, halogen fog lights, and quad exhaust outlets. Paint-protection film is present on the front portions of the bodywork along with the side-view mirror caps. The lower front bumper was refinished, and blemishes noted by the seller include a ding above the right rear wheel opening, two dings on the front quarter panel, and discoloration on the edges of the paint-protection film surrounding the front badge.
Factory 18″ Style 67 wheels wear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/45 up front and 255/40 out back and showing 2017 and 2018 date codes. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with Dynamic Brake Control. A power-steering line and the rear brake pads were replaced in 2021.
The cabin features power-adjustable and heated front seats trimmed in gray leather. Equipment includes automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, a Harman Kardon sound system, and a hard-wired aftermarket radar detector. Wear is noted on the outer seams of both the driver-side and passenger-side seat bolsters, and the seller notes the rearview mirror is faulty.
A leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 54k miles.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six features individual throttle bodies and was rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller states that Dinan engine management software was installed under previous ownership and that the engine bearing recall was addressed in 2004. Service in 2021 included replacement of the air conditioning belt as well as an oil change.
Power is provided to the rear wheels through a six-speed SMG sequential transmission and a limited-slip differential.
