This 1972 BMW 2002tii is finished in Baikal Blue Metallic over a brown vinyl interior, and power comes from a replacement fuel-injected 2.0L M10 inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transmission. Features include Bilstein shocks, a sunroof, driving lamps, a Nardi steering wheel, a Clarion CD player with Bluetooth, VDO auxiliary gauges, and Coco Mats.
The car received bodywork and a repaint in its factory Baikal Blue Metallic by Coupe King. The brightwork was re-chromed, and a new windshield, rear window, and body seals were installed. Features include chrome bumpers with overriders, round taillights, dual side-view mirrors, a sunroof, driving lamps, and H4 headlights.
The 13″ FPS alloy wheels wear BMW center caps and are mounted with 175/70 Michelin Defender tires. A steel spare wheel is mounted underneath the trunk floor. Overhauls of the brake and suspension systems were performed by La Jolla Independent, and Bilstein shocks are fitted at all four corners. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums. A brake caliper was replaced under current ownership.
The cabin was reupholstered by Coupe King under current ownership and features bucket seats with headrests trimmed in brown vinyl along with matching door panels and carpets. Features include a Clarion CD player with Bluetooth capability, a wood shift knob, crank windows, and Coco Mats. The tii-specific clock features a quartz movement and is said to run fast.
The Nardi steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,400-rpm redline, as well as gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. VDO auxiliary instrumentation is fitted ahead of the shifter. Just over 12k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The replacement 2.0-liter M10 inline-four features Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection and is said to have been installed under previous ownership. The engine is fitted with aluminum intake runners and a ceramic-coated valve cover that were installed by Coupe King. An oil change was last performed in 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a replacement five-speed manual transmission that was installed by La Jolla Independent in 2011.
